Lecture 71- Characteristics of the Word of God- Clarity Part 3

Characteristics of the Word of God- Clarity Part 3
Rev. Brian L. Kachelmeier
Although the word of God is externally clear, we need the internal illumination of the Holy Spirit to open our eyes, our ears, our minds, our hearts, and our lips.  It is only by the working of the Holy Spirit through His Word that we can believe that Jesus is the Christ.  Because of our inherited sin, we cannot understand God’s word Unless He is our teacher (click here to listen)

Lecture 70- The Characteristics of the Word o God- Clarity Part 2

Characteristics of the Word of God- Clarity Part 2
Rev. Brian L. Kachelmeier
Now we are not saying that every thing is absolutely clear in and of itself.  In fact, many passages are obscure regarding the intricacy of the words and sentences, but no doctrine is obscure.  The obscurity is not because the subject matter is obscure, but rather because of the ignorance, blindness, and weakness of those looking at it. It is true that the things of God are obscure and not known by natural man, but the things of Scripture are clear.  The Bible gives to us the things of God that He desires to reveal to us.  The Bible clearly states and teaches all doctrine that must be known for salvation. It is the Father’s desire to give the Holy Spirit so that we would believe in Jesus Christ and obtain salvation. God is our Teacher who teaches us with His word.
